Blood laps the shores of river veins,

The White Sun scorches his domain,

Penitence screams the name

Hiraeth.

Foreign is the starry sky,

Where moon once tithed a watchful eye

But forgotten too is

Poor Hiraeth.

Where the immortal tree may cast his shade,

And from his leaves the veil is made,

Gods are born in

Forgotten Hiraeth.

Land borne of rape you are;

O’ Kingdom of the Single Star,

May the lochia cleanse

Defiled Hiraeth.

-Dosic, The Prophet of The Coming. “Hiraeth’s Lost Song.”

Now you may be shouting at your screen,

“well, get on with it! What is Hiraeth even about? All of this is just cryptic nonsense!”

Too that I say, exactly! Yes! Well said! Hiraeth is about ‘cryptic nonsense.’ I could not have said it better myself! Good job, Fictional Rude-Person! Hoewever, if you or your loved one is a non-fictional person (rude or otherwise), please feel free to send all questions and inquiries to FiddlesqueakFables@Gmail.Com.

The inaccuracies residing in the navigation bar upon the pages of stories have been identified, as well as the painfully slow loading times! I beg for your pardon whilst these errors are expunged. Javascript is quite the beast.

This website is soon to host many stories, though alas, not yet! Ah, I perceive your yearning—indeed, we are all so impatient in these modern times, are we not? Take heart, for this page and several others shall be rendered accessible to thee in the interim. For now, I offer two stories in the hope of appeasing your commendable yearning for the obscure and lamentable. For now, please partake of The Bacillophobia-inducing Scientific Treatise of Dr.Vaticus Fitch in Sargonatus Pestis, and The Hubris of Making a Plaything of the Unfathomable in Patent St. Clinic. Alas, both narratives suffer from the absence of my clever and ever-present narratorship; for they are written directly by Hiraeth’s inhabitants. Weep not for me as yet! I shall be with you soon.

-Delighted to be of service, T.C.

The ‘site’ is in progress! I welcome thee to return often and see it grow. All is nearly prepared, patience!
